KOREAN MUSIC: Tasha Is Coming to America! (2)

Far East Movement releases “Live My Life” Official Remix featuring Justin Bieber, Tasha (Yoon Mirae), and Tiger JK.  I'm a little disappointed 'cause they seem to have put the full light on Bieber only.  Anyways, here's the Youtube link - the uploader doesn't allow the video to be embedded.

  1. Yes, I heard that earlier on. Somehow her rap tone (Ha! As if I'm any good at judging rap) is nothing new, though, she could do so much more I mean. I just liked her in Black Happiness so much more. LOL I have absolutely no idea what JK is saying. What IS he saying?

Anyway, I'm glad she did it!

  2. Hey, Onsemiro! Little quiet on the HaYi front, no? Just so you know I appreciate your blog for all the other interesting things you post, even though I may not comment on everything... :)

Thanks for the link.. not being a Belieber or even a FEM fam for that matter...I doubt I would have noticed this track without your post. I think Tasha's bit was her typical awesomeness. I sincerely hope she catches on here in the US.

  3. Wahyimo, if you hear her live at concert, chills will go down your spine and you will get goosebumps all over. Studio recording will never do her justice.

Allan, yes, it's been very quiet just like Hayi is. But it wasn't unpredictable. Frankly, such huge traffic that one casual post on Hayi attracted to my blog was an unexpected surprise. I still have a steady stream of traffic and am a little relieved that I have more time to write on great yet internationally unknown Korean musicians and other genres. :)

  4. Yoon Marie(Tasha)'s part, is the best. JK really needs to go on, and "Live His Life", after hearing his part. I'd love to hear/see her work with the RZA, up in New York. There are several producers here, that could put her on the map, but he's the only one with an ear for her sound.(That's a broad statement, but i think it's valid, considering the type of work, THE RZA has done.)

  5. kpopantz, I think JK did his part in Korean. BTW, is RZA still producing?

  6. I take back what i said. However, i think his english rap "flow", is better than his Korean. As of late, RZA's been acting, directing, and producing music scores for movies & anime. He & Method Man, are projected to release an album later this year. He's also in the process of reconstructing the Wu-Tang brand. So he's been active, just more with movies, than music.

  7. Wu-Tang Clan's coming back? I thought RZA is more of a movie director now, but I was wrong. :)

  8. According to the Wu-Tang website, this article from hiphopdx.com - http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/id.18133/title.rza-updates-on-new-wu-tang-clan-album-eyes-2012-release, and other sources, they're in studio working on it as we speak.
