2012 Seoul Jazz Festival kicked off today (5/19/2012), and the K-pop Star contestants, Lee Hayi, Park Jimin, Lee Michelle, and Park Jehyung opened the show, performing their K-pop Star competition routines. Hayi is known to have sung "Sway" and "Mercy."

Hayi sang well... but I do not know if it is just me, but the middle part of the performance felt a little lackluster. I hope her Mercy performance was better!
It was nice that the crowd cheered loudly for her though:)

Anonym @9:42 PM, I know what you mean. All the K-pop Star contestants including Hayi and Jimin still have much room to improve and that's why they need agencies.
On 5/12/2012's Hayi Blog updates 2, i purposed sabotaging this event, but unfortunately, i wasn't able to reach Ms. Halle Berry...LOL (Doesn't she realize that this is an humanitarian effort!)
I knew i was gonna be mad, and here i am, a week later, in a RAGE, and can't do anything about it! I didn't like the performance with the Benet, especially the way he was dancing with Ji Min. After he introduced her as "Ji-Min Park", 20 seconds into the video, i stopped it, and went to something else.
**Calming Down**...congrats to all the contestants that participated, and to Ji Min's opportunity to sing with Halle's ex-Hubby. Hayi's time is coming, to perform with somebody more influential, so i hope she stays unfazed by this nonsense.
I hope Ji-Min signs soon, so they can stop walking on eggshells around the fact that "She won, so we need to respect her position".... **Pressing pause button**...as always, thanks Onsemiro for all your hard work.

^ a video of Hayi announcing her ideal type and some man pinching her cheeks...I wouldn't blame him...her cuteness is irresistible, which is funny because Jimin is the younger one between the two of them,

diane, that's the only video uploaded on Youtube as of now. Actually, I was wondering if Hayi had sung a duet with Ledisi as planned.
As always with her Sway performances, the last shout of Sway seemed halfhearted to me. Also she missed the lyrics again! I think the professional singers who may be watching won't be very forgiving about this. It's pretty sad if she doesn't get to sing the duet with Ledisi.
Don't kill me for this , I actually think Ji Min did a good job actually (as far as I can hear from the unclear video), and she looks very comfortable with the stage and Eric. She looks prepared, at least.
Wahyimo, seriously, when I watching "The Strong Heart," i noticed Jimin was so "natural" on the show as if she was born on the stage. But still, it's too early to tell as both of them are too young and we never know what tomorrow may bring.
@Onsemiro: I think Ji Min is natural because she learnt it. I watched a clip and see her join this. Not sure because I don't know Koreans but I see in clip, it looks like a class. Seem like they taught people how to make deep impression or something same like that. Because I saw a camera in this class. But of course may be because she is cheerful and open -minded.

5/26/2012 - Just "caught wind" of Hayi singing at the Hyundai Motor Group Big-5 Concert, for the 2012 YEOSU KOREA EXPO. As usual, i enjoy waiting to get to the details from you.
